John 4:23-24

John 4:23-24

v.23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him. 

v.24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.

Main Point:

God still seeks true worshippers and desires that they will experience Him more than ever.

“We didn’t find God, God found us. We are the one who is lost and not Him. “

Why we worship?

Because of God’s desire for us.

…for the Father is seeking such people..

Because of God’s love for us.

to worship Him…

(to understand worship, is that He came for us.)

Because God sees our hearts.

must worship in spirit…

(a proper attitude)

Because God is truth..

and in truth…

(knowing that He is the Eternal Father)

I am the way, the truth and the life…John 14:6

Concluding verse:

Hebrews 10:22 

22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
