“Confluence” (“Isang daloy”)

• a coming or flowing together, meeting, or gathering at one point a happy confluence of weather and scenery a confluence of cultures
• the flowing together of two or more streams the combined stream formed by conjunction  -Merriam- Webster"

Theme: Our Lord exemplify a fully-committed life that fulfills His purpose so that we will do the same.

• 42 When day came, Jesus left and went to a secluded place; and the crowds were searching for Him, and came to Him and tried to keep Him from going away from them.  42 Kinaumagahan, siya ay umalis at pumunta sa ilang na dako. Hinanap siya ng mga tao at lumapit sila sa kaniya. Nang sila ay makalapit sa kaniya, pinigilan nila siyang umalis. 
• 43 But He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose.”
  43 Ngunit sinabi niya sa kanila: Kinakailangang ipangaral ko rin sa ibang mga lungsod ang ebanghelyo, patungkol sa paghahari ng Diyos. Ito ang dahilan kung bakit ako isinugo. 
• 44 So He kept on preaching in the synagogues of Judea.
  44 Siya ay nangaral sa mga sinagoga sa Galilea.

• I. Our Lord Jesus Christ's Priorities  (v.42)
  • a. He prioritized time with God.
  • b. He prioritized doing the Father's agenda
  • c. He did not prioritized the comfort of this world.
    43 But He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose.”
    43 Ngunit sinabi niya sa kanila: Kinakailangang ipangaral ko rin sa ibang mga lungsod ang ebanghelyo, patungkol sa paghahari ng Diyos. Ito ang dahilan kung bakit ako isinugo. 
• II. Our Lord Jesus Christ's Purpose  (v.43)
  
  • He Received His Purpose from God the Father 
  • He Actively Pursued His  Purpose
  • He Said No to What Would Hinder It. 
    
    Vision Statement: “I envision a movement of disciple-makers raised up in strategically-placed Student Centers who are intentionally investing themselves to minister with deep Great Commission conviction, planting churches, and training leaders who then impact succeeding generations for the glory of God.”
    
    • 44 So He kept on preaching in the synagogues of Judea.

•  III. Our Lord Jesus Christ's Perseverance (v.43)
  • a. He Persevered with Continuing Tenacity to Fulfill His Purpose
  • b. He Persevered by Converging His Life with It.
    
    Mission Statement: “I am called to express whole-hearted love for God and others, through discipling my family and the people entrusted to us so that together in Christ create transformation among students and their families.”

 The evidence of a life fully- surrendered to God is the ability to give himself/herself away for Him.
