Romans 12:3-8

Central Emphasis: You have been graced by God to serve for His glory. Therefore, exercise your Spiritual Gift/s to edify the body by doing what is right and living it right

  • UNIVERSAL CALL
For by the grace given to me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.
    • Heart Check
"Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but think of yourself with sober judgment.
    • Head Check
"the measure of faith that God has given you."
      • No matter how actively we seek to serve, our spiritual gifts will never work as planned until self is humbled for Him.
  • BELIEVER’S CALLING
Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
    • Diversity of the Body
      • Only one body
      • Many members
    • Distinctiveness of the Believers
      • Each member is different
      • Each member belongs to all
Each needs to do their different responsibilities to make a ministry successful.
  • CHRIST’S CALL
We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.

    • Grace of God
      • Each one should use whatever spiritual gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. – 1 Peter 4:10
      • Do what God has gifted you to do to build up the body. In serving the Lord, little is much if God is in it.
