- “Preach the word!”
- Paul’s Emphasis on the Word of God has been constant.
- Do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord (2 Timothy 1:8)
- Hold fast the pattern of sound words. (2 Timothy 1:13).
- The things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men (2 Timothy 2:2).
- Rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15)
- All Scripture is given by inspiration of God(2 Timothy 3:16)
- Why preach only God’s Word?
(1 Thes 2 :13, 1 Peter 1:23, Heb 4:12, Romans 1:16)
- The gospel doesn’t need to be cleverly packaged . It simply needs to be preached in season and out of season.
- When will I preach the Word?
- “Be ready in season and out of season.”
- Souls are perishing without Christ. Christians are straying from the fold. Proclaim God’s Word whenever and wherever you can.

- THE MOTIVE OF COMPLIANCE(v.2)
- “reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and teaching.”
- Reprove – to convince his hearers of their sins.
- Rebuke – warn them to stop sinning.
- Exhort – urge them to do/ encouragement to the fainthearted and discourage.
- Teaching – great instruction and sound doctrine is to be the aim of preaching.
