    • As we trust Christ, He counts us worthy to suffer, and He will give us the strength we need to end victoriously.
  • 3 Victory Building Blocks
    • Painful Experiences (PE) 
      ...for Demas has forsaken me... (v.10a)
      Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm. (v14a)
      • Through painful experiences
        • Victory Principle (VP): Our faithfulness to God is having an EFFECT ON OTHERS as we seek to serve Him.
    • Pressing Requests (PR)
      • ... come to me quickly (v.9)
        ... Bring him (Mark) with you... (v. 11)
      • Bring the cloak ... -- and the books especially the parchment. (v.13)
        Beware of him (Alexander)... (v. 15b)
      • Principle: Our faithfulness to God expresses what we REQUEST IMMEDIATELY as we seek to serve Him.
    • Perfect Confidence (PC)
      • But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me... (v.17a)
      • Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. (v. 17b)
      • And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. (v.18a)
      • Principle: Our faithfulness to God expresses our CONFIDENCE TO WHO WE DEPEND ON as we seek to serve Him.
  • What to do? (Application)
    • 1. Be steadfast in the midst of opposition, suffering, and hardship as we seek to serve God.
    • 2. Be cautious in everything (people, circumstances, and what you need) in the midst of opposition, suffering, and hardship as we seek to serve God. 
    • 3. Be dependent on God in the midst of opposition, suffering, and hardship as we seek to serve Him.

 

We end victoriously with...
“A crescendo of praise, ending with Amen!” (read v. 18b)
