God seeks to reward the humble in heart and gives life to those who revere Him.

Humility lead to wisdom Pride leads to disgrace
Takes advice Produces arguments
Leads to honor Leads to punishment/destruction
Ends in Honor Ends in downfall
Brings one to honor Brings one to humiliation

Proverbs 11:2; 13:10; 15:33; 16:5; 16:18; 18:12; 29:23 NIV

  • The life of a believer consists of not only the fear of God (reverential kind of fear) but also with a humble character.
  • Humility is a divine character where a person sees himself as nothing before God;- Ephesians 2:8-9
  •  A lowly in spirit and emulates the example of Christ ( who takes the form of a servant)- Philippians 2:5-9
  • Often recognizes himself as one who is under the grace and mercy of God.- Luke 18:13
  • The inevitable result of Humility is the plentiful providence from God. ..brings wealth, honor and life..
  • The inevitable result of Humility is wisdom.Prov.11:2-…but with the lowly is wisdom..
  • The inevitable result of Humility is unmerited favor. Prov.3:34…He gives grace to the lowly.

He giveth more grace…(Hymn)

His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,His power no boundary known unto men;For out of His infinite riches in JesusHe giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.

Application:

with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love.. Ephesians 4:2
