 2 Timothy 3:10-13 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

10 Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, [a]perseverance, 11 persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me! 12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. 13 But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

 

Central  Emphasis: Paul urges Timothy to concentrate on the main truths of the doctrines.

  • Be Godly
    (12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

    • Keep  Yourself Holy
    • Keep  Yourself Persevering
    • Keep  Yourself  Away From Evil  Schemes
    • Keep  Yourself Rooted In God’s Word

     

Conclusion: Dear brothers and sisters,  we must be godly and serious and persevere in the knowledge of the truth (John 14:6). The believer may fall but he stands up again. This is the true mark of a believer.
